A BSIS (Blind Spot Information System) radar sensor is an electronic unit mounted on the side of a heavy commercial vehicle to detect vulnerable road users-like cyclists and pedestrians-in the passenger-side blind zone. Provides up to a wide 180-degree horizontal field of view along the near side (left side) of the vehicle. Triggers visual and audible warnings inside the cab only when an actual collision risk is predicted at speeds under 30 km/h.
